My Story
I am a creative storyteller who has worked in the arts, the agency, the academy and the arcade.
My passion is helping other people discover, design and develop their stories - physically, digitally, or both.
Whether you have a product launch, an opening night or just a cool idea, I'm here to help.
I have won awards - a Digi Award, a Dora Award, a Canadian Comedy Award, two Earphone Awards, an Indie Short Film Award, and a NOW Magazine Audience Choice Award. I was also recently nominated for an Audie Award.
What I care about, though, is the audience. Your audience. I will work directly with you or your organization to craft a custom, attainable, storytelling experience that will engage the people you want to reach.
With experience ranging from solo puppet shows to immersive, multi-platform rebranding, I will develop a personalized approach for you to create the connection you're looking for.

Testimonials
“You will not find anyone who is a better advocate than Byron is for those he works with. He wants you to succeed, and he knows the best way of doing that is by making sure you take care of your audience. He has a tireless insistence on quality, he creates an easy and respectful work environment that allows for creativity to thrive, and he can spot an opportunity for humour or for emotional resonance a mile away.”
- Adam F. Proulx, Puppeteer, Writer, Producer
"Byron creates with an unmatched love for his audiences. They are always on his mind: how can we make them laugh harder, gasp louder, push them farther than they thought possible? Byron creates an environment that allows for delight and wonder, but make no mistake: it takes careful plotting to be so free, and serious smarts to play it silly. And there's simply no one who knows how to do it better."
- Justin Miller, creator of Pearle Harbour's Chautauqua (Audience Choice Award Winner, Summerworks)
“Byron is a committed and passionate storyteller. When I'm inside a piece (creating and performing), I can't see the whole picture, so knowing that Byron will be the audience's eyes and make sure the story is clear, helps me do my own work better. Byron is brilliant at seeing the opportunities for humour and holistic storytelling and adds a spectacular X factor to everything he works on.”
- Amy Lee, Jasp of Morro and Jasp
“Byron has a tremendous talent for weaving stories in the form of webs. His talent for intertwining silky strands of words, characters, imagery, and experiences is second-to-none. Byron continuously and creatively raised our standards at The Mission Business for audience-centric storytelling and design as Narrative Architect and Creative Director. Together, we worked on some of the most exciting works of my career, and the marvellous variety of projects he has brought to life since then often reminds me of his boundless creativity and drive for excellence.”
